The AFLA holds monthly luncheon meetings on current topics involving foreign and international law from September through May in New York City. These luncheon meetings typically include leading U.S. and foreign practitioners in private practice, the public sector and government, as well as academics and researchers from around the world.

Recent past speakers have addressed such topics as new legal developments in Asia, Europe and Latin America, current cases before the International Court of Justice, global antitrust enforcement, trends in investor-state and international commercial arbitration and ethics in international and transnational legal practice.
